2013 Kode9 Concept by Ken Okuyama

Ken Okuyama is an automobile designer who worked as Creative Director at Pininfarina supervising the designs of the Enzo Ferrari and the Ferrari Rossa Concept. As Creative Director Ken oversaw other projects including the Ferrari 599, Mitsubishi Colt CZC, Maserati Birdcage 75th and Ferrari P4/5. Before moving to Pininfarina, he worked for General Motors and Porsche, helping design the new generation Porsche 911 (aka 996) as well as the Boxster. During the first tenure at GM in the early 1990s, he was in charge of designing the Camaro and the C5 Corvette. 

In 2006, Okuyama left Pininfarina and set up his own design firm. In 2008, he presented his first concept car under his own name - the K.O. 7 Spider, a carbon fiber and unpainted aluminum two-seater. In 2013, Ken Okuyama unveiled the Kode9 sports car Concept at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show. The chassis has a central section constructed of aluminum, with carbon-fiber construction at the front and rear. Powering the vehicle is a 370-hp HKS-supercharged 2.0-liter engine that looks to be of Honda extraction. The total weight of the car is just 1,962 pounds.
