2015 Ferrari Sergio

Based on the Ferrari 458 Spider chassis, the Sergio Concept is named after Sergio Pininfarina who led the Pininfarina company for 40 years and conceived some of the greatest car legends. At its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2013, the Sergio joins the brand that has so marked the history of Pininfarina: Ferrari. In the tradition of the great Pininfarina custom-made cars specifically designed for "special" clients, (for whom two helmets will be provided) it can easily be produced in limited series. Acceleration from 0 to 100: less than 3.4 second. Maximum speed: approx 320 km/h. (pininfarina.it)

Update: October 2014... Ferrari has announced that only 6 of the Sergio concept will be made by invite to specific customers only.

Update: March 2015... The road-going version of the car, now called the Pininfarina Ferrari Sergio, makes its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, with a windscreen, and other necessary elements for use on the road. Only six examples will be produced for private customers. Based on the Ferrari 458 Spider.

Powered by a 605-hp, 4.5-litre V8, the Sergio can hit 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) in just three seconds. The production model is somewhat tamer. Blame the necessity that is the windshield. That, though is the most significant change in evidence. (autoblog.com)
